Time for a long overdue review of this Bunnahabhain 28-year-old from Cadenhead! To be honest, I just forgot to review it, but as you can see in the picture, I am just in time. 🙂

I like Bunnahabhain a lot, but somehow I don’t buy it that often. No idea why. My last review is even from more than a year ago. But I will certainly pay more attention to it in the coming months. Because in my opinion, it is not a brand that should be ignored, on the contrary! So let’s just start with this one.

This Bunnahabhain has matured in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at 43.8% ABV.

Bunnahabhain 28-year-old tasting notes:

Nose: Vanilla, but also pineapple and mango. It’s a bit waxy, lovely! Some citrus notes. Yoghurt. Green apples and pears.

Taste: Citrus, followed by grapefruit. Some vanilla. Then tropical fruits, like papaya and green bananas. A hint of apples. And tobacco.

Finish: The finish is mid-long to long and is somewhat spicy.

A very fine and elegant Bunna. The tropical fruits work really nicely here. I love it! Despite the low alcohol percentage, it is really full of flavour. Not at all watery.
